Create with TLC...

Greetings!

I can't believe it is Wednesday already (and tomorrow is the last day of March).  Time truly feels if though it is flying by.

I want to share with you today, a few creations I made using images/sentiments from Create with TLC.  I know you have heard me talk about Paulette and her generosity on several occassions.  Now I have the opportunity to create for her using the awesome wordart and images she comes up with.  I am truly honored.

This first creation I used Paulette's "Fill your Life" set to create this very simple, yet eye-catching card.  I love cards that are blank on the inside because I love to send friends and relatives little notes and this is a perfect example.

My other creation I would like to share with you is from "Music Speaks" set.  The possibilities are endless when it comes to this set (and honestly any of the sets that Paulette creates).  If you imagine it, you  are sure to find wordart or an image to go along with your project at Create with TLC.  Paulette had a vision for this awesome set and you have to check out the blog to see the different DTs interpretation of this vision.  They all did an awesome job!

Here's my interpretation...thanks for looking!

I love this set, because it comes with everything you need to create a project.  You just add your creativity and presto...a card, page layout, papercraft project is born.  Make sure you check out her vintage background sets, too!!  Oh how I love these.  I have purchased them all and have had a blast playing with them.  I don't do well with "vintage" projects, but the backgrounds allow me to go vintage while adding a modern twist to my projects.  Keep a look-out for some projects using those images.

Nettie G's Digital Gem Challenge...

Greetings!

Happy Monday everyone!

It is time for another challenge over on Nettie G's challenge blog.  Wow, what a great turn out we had for this past challenge.  A huge thank you to everyone who took part.  The winner will be announced on Wednesday.

Now it's time for a new NettieG's Digital Gems Challenge.  Since it is Spring Time here in the United States,
this challenge round is all about the ROSES!!

Their must be at least one rose in your project.  If you enter with any non-NettieG image, you get one entry into the prize drawing.  If you use a NettieG image, you get two entries into the prize drawing. If you use the featured image, the Dog Rose, you get three entries in the drawing.

To help you get a NettieG image, we're is having a Giant Store wide Sale until March 28, 2011, 11:59 CST.  The featured image this week was a favorite flower of NettieG's mom...The Dog Rose.

Here's what I did using this gorgeous flower which reminds me of my mommy...Rosie!

I loved how the petals turned out on this creation (although they may not truly represent how this flower looks).  I also like the colors I used which was by totally accident.  You probably can't tell but the dp with the patterns on it is actually a pinkish color and the diamond images are orange with glitter.  I tried to duplicate that on the flower itself.  Well, what are you waiting for?  Head over to Nettie G's and sign up for the challenge and do a little shopping while you are at it.

Odds and Ends...

Greetings!

I am just popping in to share some odds and ends with everyone.  I hope your weekend went well.  Mine started out crazy, but ended on a good note.  I lost my cell phone (turned out to be lodge between my car seat and fell out last night-lol).  I bought a new  cell phone (an I-phone I had been wanting for a while) and I have enjoyed playing with it.  I am also on a quest to find a new vehicle, because my lease is up soon.  Aargh!  I hate dealing with car dealers.

Blog Candy Update:
WOOHOO!  I am up to 77 followers. Thank you all!  We are 3 away from me adding another goodie to the stack and 23 followers from the big 100 blog candy give-a-way!!  Thank you to everyone who has signed up using inlinkz.  If you haven't you should. :-D

Design/Creative Teams:
Holla!  I have joined two awesome design/creative teams.  (Create with TLC and Scrapper's Delight - check out the sidebar)  I am HONORED to serve on all my design teams and am sad that my term on some will be ending soon.  However, now I will continue to enjoy inspiring you to create using these artist products.  Please take a moment to check them out.  You will not be sorry. Hugs!!

Well that is it for now...

A la Mode Silhouettes from Revidevi...

Greetings!

Here are some creations I made using the A la Mode Sihouette Collection from Revidevi. I don't know about you but I LOVE shoes and purses!! When I recieved these adorable silhouettes in my mailbox to work with...I squealed! The possibilities for creativity is endless.

For my creations, I decided to keep it simple (which is really really hard for me to do). Nevertheless, here's my attempt...

I created the sentiments to go along with each card. I truly believe each word of them, which probably explains why I own so many shoes and purses. lol You should head over to MyGrafico store right now and pick up this awesome set. I will be sharing some more creations with you later using this set and some other goodies from MyGrafico. Thanks for looking!

ADFD: New Release - Go Green Challenge #14

Greetings!

Well, it is finally Friday.  The time change has made this seem like the longest week EVAH!!  Yesterday it was a gorgeous 66 degrees outside and my spring fever was kicking up.  I'll be glad when my spring cleaning fever kicks up. lol  Anyways, I bring to you today the ADFD new release images and our Go Green challenge.

Now when you say "Go Green" here in Michigan we think about sports (Michigan State Spartans).  However, over at ADFD we want to see you go green. Show us your creation using as much green as you can stand! There are many ways to go green so get creative!  The challenge dates begin today March 18th-March 31st.

Here's my creation using the beautiful peacock magic and the single feather peacock.  I was playing around with this image and decided to challenge myself to do something different.  Therefore, I took the single feather image, cropped the stem off and changed the color to green.  I then layered them all over the dress (and her hat), highlighted with green, and added blue Copic Spica dots for the "eyes."  I love the way it turned out and have tried it again on another image (will share soon).

Okay, so head over to the new store and pick up these cuties, make a card, and then enter the challenge.  You will not regret it!  :-D

Blog Candy Update!!

Greetings!

I just wanted to add some more goodies to my progressive blog candy.  As I mentioned in here, I will continue to add goodies (@ 70,80, 90, etc.) until I reach 100 followers.  Over the weekend I reached 70 followers (THANK YOU!!!) so I am adding some more yummy goodies to the stash featured below.  If you follow the directions in this blog post, your name will be randomly drawn for a chance to split this bounty with another lucky winner.  Why two winners?  Well, it's a running joke with my family and friends that I do everything in twos.  I have to Assosicate and Bachelor degrees.  I go by two names.  I have two birthdates.  The list goes on.  lol!

Okay, on to the goodies.  I recently discovered a new digi artist which I love to do.  I have scooped up her images and now I'm giving you a chance to win one of her AWESOME digi sets.  Yep, you could have a chance to win a free digi set from Arielle over at Wax Fruit company.  Here's a card I made using her Bunny Pail image.

You can check her CDAC group out here.  Make sure you follow and tell her Candy sent you.  :-D  Also, make sure you sign up using the Inlinkz button here.  You must be a follower of my blog to win.

Thanks!

Small Miracles

Greetings!

Happy Tuesday!  I hope your day is going well.

I am just stopping in to share with you a card I made using the cutest image.  I feel horrible because I don't recall where I got it from (if you know the artist please leave me a comment).  I try to save my images with the name of the artists, but this one snuck by me.  lol  Anyways, when I first saw it I came up with the sentiment that I used.  I don't have little ones, but I have enough nieces and nephews to know how true this sentiment can be.

Ready for the challenge?

This is going to make you think outside the box.

Color your image as you normally would.
Attach to whatever background you choose.
Now, Lay out color matched prints, stripes, plaids, etc.
From these papers above choose 3 plus any other solid for a toral of 5 colors counting your backing
piece, for the card base.
Lay your image and backing paper on each of your choices, layering with the papers in several different
