You're Never More than a thought away...

Greetings!

I'm back with another card I created and I dedicate it to all my bloggy friends.  Although, I do not talk to you and I haven't been posting much lately...you are truly never more than a thought away

Here's my creation...

Thought Away
This card evolved over a period of time.  I had a bunch of leftover dp sitting on my work table and this beautiful diecut was in the package next to them.  I had recieved this diecut from an Ebay diecut seller.  She sent it to me as a gift.  How sweet, right?  I kept saying that I was going to use it and well when I saw these papers together...it clicked.  I would have never handpicked these colors, but I think they work.  I added a jewel flower gem in the center of the flower and stamped a sentiment from SU.

ADFD Challenge: Add some Red

Greetings!

I am slowly, but surely trying to get back into my cardmaking.  I have been working on several different projects for various people/reasons.  Today, I am sharing with you a very simple card that I put together using images from "A Day for Daisies" for their challenge to use the color red.  If you are in to silent films, then these guys are going to look very familiar to you. :-)  I personally have never seen any silent films, but do enjoy several "classic" movies from the past.

Here's my creation...

You're a Classic!

I used various images from this collection and merged them into a filmstrip (how appropriate, right) and then used ink to make it a little more aged.  I simply used leftover strips of dp and then layered the filmstrip on top.  I didn't color them, because those films were black and white. :-)

More AWNB Ezine creations

Greetings!

Happy Friday everyone!  I am stopping by to share with you some more creations that I did for January's issue of Art With No Boundaries Ezine.  Chris is gearing up for the February issue, so be sure to stop by and check it out.

Here are two more of my creations...

Expressive Heart 4 Design
I designed the tag for this tag and then layered on designer paper.  I only colored the eyes of the heart and added bling for her hair.  I used beads where most would put ribbon and added a small strip of lace to tie it all in.
Victorian Deco Heart

This creation was the result of using up scrap paper.  I added various layers of scrap paper and then cut them to fit the heart digi.  I colored the heart using Copics and added bling in the center of flower as the focal point.  I also used an embossing folder to create the background for the image.

You can find these images and so many more in CS Designs Digital Art Design store.  Also, check out this January issue of the ezine!

JANUARY issue of AWNB Ezine is available!!

Greetings!

I hope this New Year is bringing you lots of love, joy and peace!

The January issue of Art With No Boundaries Ezine is available for your viewing pleasure.  I managed to get a few projects in this issue and have popped in to share one of them with you.  I have to tell you that there are plenty of inspiration in this issue from such talent designers as well as the tutorial I promised you from the last issue.

January Issue

Love is in the air  in this issue and I had the pleasure of working with Little Giz as French Pierre Digital Stamp  for this Accordian "Love is" Tag book I created.

Here's my creation...

I just added various layers of designer paper on the inside and stamped sentiments onto top notes cut in half.  You can't tell, but it is all held together by ribbon.  I had so much fun playing with Giz.  I colored him with Copic markers and added white gel pen to the white stripes on his shirt to make them stand out.  I mounted him on a diecut that I created.  You can see more of Giz when you visit the store and several other awesome designs by Chris.  I will also share a couple more creations that are in the book within the week and to see the tutorial that I created using her background paper, check out the Ezine. :-)

Lastly, there are several opportunities to be a part of all the fun over at AWNB Ezine.  You can sumbit your creations, using CS Designs for a chance to be in the next issue.  Also, you can join in the Interactive Zone where you can win FAB prizes!  Whew...what are you waiting for?  Head over and check it out. :-)

Happy New Year (3 days late)!!

Greetings and Happy *2013*

I pray that everyone had a safe and blessed holiday season!

I know it has been a while since I have posted something.  I have actually been busy reinventing myself. lol  After years of battling the bulge, I have managed (with the help of God, family, doctors, friends, etc.) to dwonsize 100 pounds!!  Woohoo!  I am trying to get use to the *new* me while working on some crafty projects (which I hope to share soon), start a new career and get my life, in general, in order.

The deets....?

We all make new year resolutions, but this year (and last) I decicded enough with the resolution and instead I made a promise to myself (and God) to get healthy (check that one off my list) and have a closer relationship with him (still working on it).  I turned 40 last June and a switch went off in my brain that I just have to do it.  Whatever *it* is...I need to make it happen.  So that is my goal for 2013.

I am currently not on any design teams, as I didn't want to over committ myself; however, I have been guest designing for various groups and hope to continue to do so this year.  Sooo, if you are looking for a Guest DT let me know. *shameless plug*

I have been working with CS Designs and am having a blast working with Chris' artwork.  The next issue of her Ezine will be coming out soon and I have several projects/articles in that issue.  If you haven't checked out the ezine you are missing out.  Also, check out her store.  I have always said that Chris' work is truly a work of art, because of the attention to detail and the out-of-the box designs that any project you make using them could easily go from your craft table to artwork on your wall.

I also want to share with you that Paulette over at Create with TLC is gearing up for a Blog Hop on January 13th with her new DTs.  I could so kick myself for missing out on throwng my hat in for this call.  I truly respect and enjoy working with Paulette and her wordart.  She is so generous and giving of herself and her talents.  You can find out more about her hop by clicking on the picture below.  You don't want to miss this, because there is always tons of yummy goodies. :-)

Create with TLC Blog Hop!!

Well, I believe that I have caught you up on the happenings that I know about.  I look forward to hearing from you and finding out what you've been up to.

Wishing you all a prosperous New Year...
